Endotracheal Tubes Code: 516 (Transparent) / 520 (Green)
Endotracheal Tubes

The distal tip of the tube has two black stripes. As the tube is advanced, the point at which the black stripe can no longer be seen, confirms that the tip is midway between the vocal chords and the carina.

The tube is graduated at 1/2cm intervals along the side of the tube facing the user during laryngoscopy. Each tube connector is perfectly matched to ensure easy re-connection when the tube is cut to length. The size is repeated on the fixation wings for easy reference.

Vygon pediatric non-cuffed ET Tubes have a 37_ bevel suitable for oral or nasal intubation. Code 520 is a soft tube designed to be used for long term intubation.

Dual Lumen Transparent     Code: 5516

The Vygon dual lumen ET tube has the secondary lumen contained within the wall of the main lumen. It in no way alters the inside or outside diameter of the tube. The low volume extension allows surfactant to be infused, without disconnecting from the ventilator, or changing the hub. The surfactant is delivered at the tip of the tube and does not come back along the main lumen. This ensures that all surfactant goes to the baby, and does not coat the inside of the main lumen of the tube, or coat the sensor that may be in the hub of the ventilator tubing. The secondary lumen may also be used for saline installation, and for CO2 sampling, directly from the tip of the tube.
