Lectro-Cath is a Polyethylene I.V.extension and manometer line and is tested to 580 psi. Polyethylene is preferable to PVC whenever the extension tube carries a solution which gives rise to adverse interactions with PVC. This is a widespread and well-documented problem with dramatic effects on drug potency and patient dosage levels.
