Polyurethane ECC is a unique 24G (2Fr)catheter for mid-long term IV therapy or TPN. The 19G standard winged introducer needle allows easy cannulation of the peripheral veins and provides a needle with which all medical staff is familiar. Ease of handling is ensured through the inclusion of soft wings on the introducer needle.
As with all Vygon catheters,an integral extension set is incorporated which takes the handling of the catheter hub away from the insertion site, significantly reducing the risk of catheter-related infections. Replacement extension sets and introducer needles are available if needed.Polyurethane catheters are much stronger than those made of silicone rubber,and are also more durable. The catheter is available in either a basic set or a complete procedure tray. |
