Human Resources Manager

Vygon Corporation is a primary source supplier that specializes in neonatal/pediatric products and IV therapy.  We utilize the latest manufacturing technologies and offer our products through a fully trained, professional network of direct sales representatives and specialty distributors.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality products, service and support through our customer service, clinical and technical support departments.  In addition to our network of specialty distributors, our customers have access to a team of regional managers and sales representatives that have extensive experience in hospital neonatal/pediatric and IV therapy departments.

The purpose of this position is to develop a strategic human resource plan with long range and short-term initiatives that contribute to Vygon’s corporate goals and objectives.  This individual will actively partner with other members of management to integrate human resource priorities with organization plans and goals.   They will be expected to anticipate and reduce potential risks to decrease human resource issues.  The right individual will  be a visible advocate and agent of change to create a culture of excellence that utilizes industry best practices to develop an empowered, positive, dynamic work force consistent with the needs and goals of the Vygon organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve on the senior management team as the sole HR representative.
  • Develop creative solutions and process improvements to the challenging HR processes.
  • Direct the recruitment, selection, and placement for new hires.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate employment forms, records, and procedures.
  • Review, formulate, implement and administer a comprehensive wage and salary program which encompasses all positions.
  • Recommend and implement changes to bring our current performance management process up-to-date.
  • Maintain appropriate classification and policies for all exempt and non-exempt staff members in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
  • Administer, recommend innovations to, and communicate an integrated benefit program including group insurance, retirement plans, vacation and paid sick leave to assure consistency with competitive trends, Vygon philosophy, desirability, and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain a sufficient knowledge of laws, regulations and rulings of governmental agencies and courts regarding Equal Employment Opportunity, OHSA, Unemployment and Worker’s Compensation, etc., to assist Vygon management with compliance and to represent Vygon at hearings.
  • Oversee training and development needs
  • Responsible for cost effective operations of all areas of the human resources function.
  • Establish and monitor budgets and operating plans for the human resources function.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; HR certification preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 10 years of human resources management and leadership experience
  • A generalist background with thorough knowledge and competence in all human resources functions
  • Experience working with ADP Workforcenow a major plus
  • Experience being a member of a safety committee and overseeing Worker’s Comp and OSHA

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral communication and written skills, as well as interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of the company
  • Knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines. Knowledge of federal, state and benefit laws
  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image
  • An ability to make sound decisions, take initiative and work both independently as well as within a team to get results
  • Requires a high-energy, proactive, detail oriented individual with outstanding customer service, communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.

Position located in our Dover, NH manufacturing plant office. Vygon’s office hours are from 8-5, Monday – Friday and dress code is casual. This position has one direct report. Travel requirements include attending meetings in the Pennsylvania corporate office every 6 to 8 weeks.

Product Sales Specialist

Our mission is to provide the highest quality products, service and support through our customer service, clinical and technical support departments.  In addition to our network of specialty distributors, our customers have access to a team of regional managers and sales representatives that have extensive experience in hospital neonatal/pediatric and IV therapy departments.

The Product Sales Specialist expands relationships with existing and new customers by directing and supporting sales efforts with the Sales Team to grow one or more assigned product lines. The Product Sales Specialist collaborates with and/or supports Regional Sales Managers & Sales Representatives to close qualified opportunities for the assigned product line and works with Product Managers and the Clinical Education team to ensure product-line success.   The position is responsible for achieving an overall sales quota in the assigned product line(s).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet assigned sales targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines.
  • Provides coaching and professional development to sales team to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills with the assigned product line(s)
  • Lead demand-generating sales and marketing activities in the assigned market for the assigned product specialty
  • Supports the success of the assigned product line(s) for the full sales and marketing team, including Regional Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, Business Development Managers, Contract Managers and/or Product Managers.
  • Coordinate the customer involvement of other company personnel when needed, including support resources, team members, and management
  • Create, modify, and/or enhance sales strategy for the assigned product line to meet and exceed company sales and profit goals.
  • Create, modify and manage pricing strategies for the assigned product line to maximize market share penetration and profit.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Education Team to create on-going educational platforms for both the customer and sales team.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management Team to ensure on-going product development is relevant to today’s and tomorrow’s sales need.
  • Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with key clinical and industry personnel for the assigned product line(s).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct sales experience in the medical device manufacturing industry
  • Marketing & Education experience a plus

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to persuade and influence others, develop and deliver presentations and to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
  • Work requires significant travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license within 60 days of employment.

Environmental Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires grater then 50% travel both locally and nationally and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
